Serious Play Methods Inc operates primarily in Canada and Vietnam offering a range of services. Our focus is on LEGO® Serious Play® methods, both facilitation of workshops, and training and certification of facilitators of the LEGO® Serious Play® method (in partnership with LSP Methods), but we also have expertise in and offer services in a range of other areas including action learning, coaching, team development, creative intelligence and ideation, and consulting, using a range of different methodologies.
Dr. David Newman
PhD, MFA, ACC, ITCA-P, Certified PRO Trainer with LSP Methods
David Newman is a seasoned educator teaching creativity and creative intelligence at the University of British Columbia, and has taught at a number of other universities in Canada, USA, Vietnam, and Hong Kong. For many years he has woven a variety of play-based methods into his teaching, including role-playing, applied improv, and LEGO® Serious Play® methods.
David originally trained in LEGO® Serious Play® methods through Serious Play Business in the latter stages of COVID, leading him to integrating it into his teaching at the University of British Columbia. Since the middle of 2024 he has been training educators and facilitators in the method along with running corporate workshops. In Vietnam he has run workshops for both universities, such as RMIT Vietnam and Fulbright University, and for corporations such as Prudential Assurance, Pizza 4Ps, Dalat Worsted Spinning, and LEGO Manufacturing Vietnam. He is a Certified Trainer of Facilitators in the LEGO® Serious Play® method through The LSP Method, and a Metalog Tools Ambassador and certified facilitator. David is also certified in the Creative Problem Solving Process through the Creative Education Foundation, and as a Basadur Creativity Preferences Administrator. As a coach he holds the ACC with the International Coaching Federation and ITCA-P with the European Mentoring and Coaching Council.

Lan Anh Nguyen
MBA – Certified Facilitator with LSP Methods
Lan Anh has more than 20 years of experience in different industries, both in domestic and international organizations including Big C, Hanesbrands Inc., Muong Thanh Hospitality, and Südwolle Group in leadership positions specializing in Human Resources Management, Compliance, and Business Development.
Lan Anh is certified as an Action Learning Coach by the World Institute for Action Learning, Facilitator of LEGO® Serious Play® Methods, has a Master Trainer designation from the Association for Talent Development (ATD), and is a member of the International Coaching Federation.
Lan Anh has been the Human Resources Director of Südwolle Group Vietnam since 2017.
